Samples Approved!

It's been a month since our last update, and we have some exciting news to share about the URSA keycaps project progress!

Third samples approved! 🎉

As mentioned in our previous update, we were waiting for the third round of samples to arrive. We're thrilled to report that they have arrived and match our high expectations! The texture, acoustics, and stems all passed Andreas' rigorous quality checks with flying colors.

Holding these samples in hand gives us a renewed excitement for the project - we can't wait to see how they look and feel on a complete keyboard. The texture provides a perfect tactile experience, the acoustics are spot on, and stems sit exactly where they are supposed to.

Production green light

With the test mold fully approved, we've given Keyreative the green light to proceed with production of all remaining molds! This is a major milestone for the URSA project.

The factory will be working on these molds over the next few weeks, bringing us one big step closer to having complete sets in hand. Having overcome the challenges with the test mold, we expect the production of the remaining molds to proceed more smoothly now that we've established the right parameters.

US tariffs update

Good news on the tariffs front! There have been promising discussions between US and Chinese representatives, and it seems the "tariff war" is showing signs of de-escalation. This is encouraging for the future of URSA and our US customers.

We're keeping a close eye on developments and will evaluate the best shipping solutions a few weeks before delivering on the pre-orders. Our priority is ensuring all customers receive their products with minimal hassle, regardless of where they're located.

If you don't live in the US, this has zero impact on your pre-order or any future order.

Timeline check-in

We're happy to report that we remain on track with our September timeline as shared in our previous updates. The project is progressing according to plan, and we expect to maintain this schedule.

What's next?

With mold production ramping up, our next update will likely focus on color samples and possibly the first look at complete sets from production. We're getting closer to the finish line and can't wait to share more tangible progress with you all.
